Bio
Domestic Tallboys reside in Austin, Texas where they have been active in the music scene following the release of their debut EP in 2017, Tall, But Not Untrue. Domestic Tallboys characteristic reverberated guitar melodies and story book lyrics bring you back to your own memories and nostalgia.
The debut record, a collection of exaggerated tales detailing accounts ranging from a lonely actor turned spaceman to a drunken cowboy out on the town, fared well in the Austin music scene and allowed Domestic Tallboys to begin touring around Texas. Meanwhile, the title track spawned a music video set in one of Austin’s most iconic up-and-coming music venues, Sahara Lounge.
With the newest full-length record, MAXIMÓN, released in 2023, Domestic Tallboys added another chapter to the story. Inspired by travels through Central and South America, the record tackles Latin American life through its outrageous celebrations and tricky past. The record not only dives into some deep cultural and political content, but also evolves the Domestic Tallboys sound through bossa nova grooves and a horn section without forgetting the underlying indie rock roots.

"Domestic Tallboys are ready to crack open their full-length, MAXIMÓN. MAXIMÓN introduces saxophone into the mix for some extra cross-genre carbonation, bringing that beer-braised energy into the comfort of your earbuds."
